Testing ClearBoost’s final production PCB design, a couple of minor fixes and corrections over the pre-production units, and no reflow oven failure gives us some great results. We hand assembled these in house after the issues we had with the local company’s reflow oven previously.

We had to check the antennas were all tight, as the ClearBoost was outperforming the non-ClearBoost receiver so early on.

The area we were flying, west of Calgary has a significant RF interference source near by which severely limits the obtained range (struggling to reach 1km with a 600mW transmitter) and clearly shows that even in an adverse RF environment that ClearBoost can still outperform the stock receiver.
